Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has worked in global executive management roles for large Investment Banks and Asset Managers throughout EMEA, Asia Pacific, North and South America.
He not only boasts expertise in developing business vision, but is also adept at implementing technology solutions to realise that vision. His skills include the in-depth planning of supportive technology, operational strategy and architecture to achieve business success.
Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan’s career within the insurance and technology sectors spans over 25 years. Most recently he spent 8 years as a Director at SSP Limited, he was previously CEO at Primary General and prior to that was Divisional MD at Sirius Group.
Jonathan has founded and built successful businesses and has been a vocal supporter of the broker channel in his roles as MD of Keychoice and of MasterPlan. At HUGHUB Jonathan is responsible for strategic direction and product development, he also plays a key role in client engagement.
Creative Director & Founder
Forward-thinking, market-leading brand expert John has an abundance of love and dedication for his work.
He has over 30 years of experience in strategic brand development, marketing and advertising, with a proven ability to help businesses connect and engage with their customers. John’s idea for HUGHUB grew following exposure to the challenges and inefficiencies within the insurance sector whilst working on projects with Swiss Re and AXA.
Max has spent his entire career working within the insurance industry , largely as leader of operations, technology and digital trading. Until 2013 he was Chief Operating Officer of AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary.
He served as the Group Operations Director of Towergate Partnership Ltd. from 2005 until 2011. He now acts as a consultant, offering advisory services to several insurance businesses, brokerages and private equity houses. Max is also chairman of A-Plan (broker) and Vast Visibility (an insurance aggregator), a Non-Executive Director of Acturis (broker software house) and a board member and advisor to a number of early stage technology businesses. He has been involved with HUGHUB since its inception.
Tom is a 30 year veteran of the international capital markets.
Tom trained with Arthur Andersen, before moving to Manufacturers Hanover Limited / Chemical Bank. During a 16 year career at the bank, he set up the Global Derivatives business and eventually was made Co-head, Head of International and Head of Europe. After leaving Chemical Bank in 1994, Tom ran the Global Derivatives businesses at Standard Chartered and Bank of America retiring from Bank of America in 1999 following their acquisition by NationsBank.
Over the next 10 years, Tom worked to set up an online derivatives brokerage called ICor which was subsequently sold to Reuters, worked for Reuters and then spent three years as one of the two directors of IPGL, the Holding Company for Michael Spencer’s family interests, retiring in 2009.
Tom joined HUGHUB in 2016 as a Non-Executive Director and Board Member.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jonathan has more than two decades of experience as a marketing practitioner, with fifteen years in the digital sector, developing innovative and original campaigns.
His career spans financial services (RSA, MORE TH>N, AA, Aviva), technology (Vodafone) and retail (Sainsbury’s), and includes multiple award-winning deliveries within brand and advertising, e-commerce, digital and direct advertising.
Chief Technology Officer
Slava has over 18 years of experience in software development and specialises in delivering Greenfield FinTech solutions, both for small start-ups and large banks.
He has previously delivered solutions for banknote trading, credit and market risk, portfolio management, financial analysis stress testing and loan valuation.
Having kick-started his career programming at the tender age of 12, Tim went on to study Computer Science at University.
For the last seven years he has been architecting web applications for start-ups and mid-sized FinTech companies. He continually asks questions, challenges convention and exploits the latest technologies to transform development practices and project timelines. He participates in hackathons and is an agile development advocate and enthusiast.
William has 20 years’ experience in IT, the last 10 of which he has spent working as a software developer, transferring business ideas to digital solutions, mainly in the form of web applications.
During that time he has been involved with a broad range of companies operating in the marketing, energy, music and financial sectors. His skill set now extends beyond the .Net ecosystem and includes both back-end and front-end development, with an emphasis on Agile methodologies.
Monica started working as a developer 7 years ago, following a Masters in Computer Science. She joined the HUGHUB project a few months ago and has already contributed to the software development and overall work-stream of the team.
As a talented developer, Monica has been exposed to a large number of projects in Romania, the UK and the US and is proficient in C#, SQL, Java, Angular and Mongo DB. Monica is a key example of the new breed of developers we are attracting – she is as passionate about development as she is about finding the right solution for our customers.
Business & Finance Administrator
Lauren’s responsibilities at HUGHUB span across financial accounting, business administration, marketing and office management.
Lauren supports the finance department’s daily invoicing and client liaison duties as well as assisting with tax, accounting and audit activities. Lauren is also responsible for daily office management and business administration while lending support on marketing, projects and events.
Cristina started her career in Sao Paulo, Brazil, moving to England in 2012. She finished her MBA in 2013 and has worked in finance ever since. She joined HUGHUB in 2015 and is fully responsible for the finance function within the business.
Cristina’s area of expertise is in developing financial management mechanisms, handling financial accounting and reporting systems and developing external relationships with auditors and other financial institutions. Cristina is an experienced and operational finance professional and works closely with the HUGHUB directors and shareholders.
Judy’s professional background is in business and systems administration and business operations across various industries including hospitality, publishing and financial services.
She has experience in the implementation of operating systems, financial reporting and analysis, the publication of corporate periodicals, digital advertising and sales and marketing support. Her current responsibilities include project management, process improvements, system implementation, lead generation and strategic support for the team.
